A borrower reported a final credit-card decision and lump-sum demand after missing a hearing
A borrower said a credit-card balance went unpaid after a period marked by family loss, health issues and other financial setbacks. The borrower later received court papers and said the decision, described in those papers as final, was for roughly PHP 700,000. About half of that amount was reported to be interest and fees. The borrower said hearing documents had arrived months earlier, but the hearing was missed because the situation felt overwhelming. After receiving the later papers, the borrower contacted the court branch and said the decision was confirmed as final. The borrower then contacted the bank and received a callback from a law office working with it. An installment plan using post-dated checks was proposed, but the borrower said the law office refused and instead demanded a large lump sum within the month while warning that execution could follow. The borrower said there were no substantial savings or property available to meet that demand. The stated goal was still to pay, but through an amount that was realistically affordable. Where the story stood In a later public comment, the same borrower said direct negotiation with the bank was continuing. BorrowTalk did not find a later public update confirming a settlement, an approved installment plan or execution. The court documents, docket and bank records were not independently available, so every legal and financial detail here remains the borrower's account.
