Terms of Use
These Terms govern access to and use of BorrowTalk. By using the service, you agree to follow these Terms, the Community Guidelines, and the Privacy Policy.
Last updated: August 26, 2026
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these Terms.
- Use an email account you are authorized to access and protect your sign-in links, sessions, and devices.
- Do not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade restrictions, manipulate activity, or mislead the community.
Your contributions
- Share truthful first-hand experiences, genuine questions, or useful information. Clearly distinguish fact, opinion, and information received from another source.
- Do not post content that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory, spammy, or designed to manipulate popularity or lending decisions.
- Do not expose passwords, sign-in links, one-time codes, government IDs, account numbers, phone numbers, addresses, private conversations, faces, or other sensitive information without a lawful basis and appropriate permission.
- You remain responsible for the content you submit and for having the rights needed to submit it.
Permission to operate the service
You keep ownership of content you create. When you submit content, you give BorrowTalk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and promote the BorrowTalk service.
This license ends when the content is fully deleted from active systems, except for limited copies or records retained for security, legal, backup, audit, or thread-integrity purposes.
Moderation and account controls
BorrowTalk may refuse publication, add noindex status, hide, remove, label, preserve a tombstone, restrict interactions, limit or suspend an account, or retain evidence when reasonably needed to enforce these Terms, protect privacy, investigate reports, comply with law, or keep the service reliable.
A report does not automatically prove wrongdoing and does not automatically hide or downrank content. Moderation decisions may consider context, evidence, safety, and the integrity of the community.
Financial information and third parties
BorrowTalk does not provide loans, credit decisions, debt collection, legal advice, or personalized financial advice. Community content may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation.
Platform names, regulatory references, external links, and user reports are provided for information and discussion. They do not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, approval, or finding of illegality.
Third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, pricing, and decisions. BorrowTalk is not responsible for a third party’s contract or conduct.
Service availability and responsibility
BorrowTalk may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may correct factual, technical, safety, or legal issues. The service is provided on an as-available basis.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BorrowTalk is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on community content or third-party information. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Applicable law and changes
These Terms are subject to applicable law and the jurisdiction of competent authorities. They do not select a country-specific governing law. Mandatory consumer, privacy, and procedural rights remain unaffected.
BorrowTalk may update these Terms. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means the updated Terms apply to later use, subject to any notice or consent required by applicable law.
