A Finbro entry can be absent from one credit report and disputed on another

  • Overdue
  • Repayment
  • Complaint / dispute

Public credit-report checks produced different Finbro outcomes. One borrower said Finbro did not appear in a CIBI report. Another borrower said Finbro did appear and was marked delinquent even though they disputed that status; the borrower described involving CIC and regulatory channels to have the record corrected. These are individual reports, not proof of a universal reporting policy, a fixed update schedule or accuracy across every credit bureau. A warning about possible credit reporting is also not proof that a particular entry exists. The later checkpoint is the borrower’s own issued report and, when needed, the result of an actual dispute. CIC’s official process says a dispute must be based on a CIC- or accredited-provider credit report and can cover an outstanding balance or payment status. CIC also says it routes the dispute to the submitting entity and cannot unilaterally change submitted data. Check the issued report, keep payment and closure evidence private, and use the official dispute route for an erroneous, incomplete or outdated entry.
