A settlement certificate is not the same as a closed Maya Easy Credit account
A late-August 2026 public account shows several different endpoints after a discounted settlement. The borrower said a third-party collector accepted payment on June 26 and issued a certificate of full payment dated June 30. By July 23, however, Easy Credit still showed an outstanding balance. The borrower then described repeated support follow-ups and receiving another statement on August 28. In a later reply, the same person said the collector no longer had an active record because the account was settled. That still did not establish that Maya's in-app balance, facility status or any external credit reporting had been updated. The last public endpoint remained unresolved. Other borrowers separately reported difficulty finding a way to close an unused or fully paid Easy Credit line. Those reports do not establish a legal entitlement, a standard closure process or a normal handling time. Keep the settlement offer, payment receipt, certificate, collector acknowledgement, in-app balance, new statements and written closure confirmation as separate checkpoints. Do not post the documents or account identifiers publicly. Provenance: Reddit; Official guidance. Public self-reports are not authenticated account records or a finding against Maya or a collector.
