Maya borrower repaid ₱40,000, then saw a shorter 18-month loan offer

  • Repayment
  • Approval / rejection

A Maya Personal Loan borrower asked r/MayaPh on 8 October 2026 whether rejecting a new offer might mean never receiving another. They said their 2024 ₱40,000 loan had a 24-month term and was already fully paid. The new offer was still ₱40,000, but the repayment period had fallen to 18 months — a term they felt they could not manage. Other people in the thread described sharply different experiences. Some said another offer appeared immediately after payoff; one said no further personal-loan offer arrived despite settling a previous loan. These replies are individual reports, not a measure of Maya approval patterns. Maya Bank's published Personal Loan terms distinguish full settlement from a new application: further borrowing requires a new application, and subsequent offers depend on a fresh credit decision. The terms do not establish whether rejecting this particular offer will prevent another one later. With the same principal spread over fewer months, the current monthly amount — and the full disclosure of costs — matters more than whether the offer looks like an upgrade. Has anyone declined a Maya Personal Loan offer and later received a different term? That later result is the part this discussion has not established.
