Paid early, same limit: Tala borrowers describe different paths

  • Application / borrowing
  • Repayment

Paying early does not tell you what your next Tala limit will be. In an August 2025 public borrower self-report, one borrower described a ₱1,500 limit that stayed unchanged after more than six borrowing cycles, despite early repayment. A separate public borrower reported five cycles at ₱1,000 in December 2025. The same public account later reported reaching ₱5,000 in March 2026, with two loans at that amount and no further increase. These are two different borrowers, not steps in one person's borrowing plan. Tala's published guidance says limits are reassessed after repayment using multiple factors, without a guaranteed increase per cycle. The accounts do not establish what caused the second borrower's increase—or whether that borrower paid early. They are unverified public self-reports, not evidence that borrowing more often produces a higher limit. No later limit outcome is established here. If your Tala limit changed differently, or you have a later update after several repayments, what happened? Share only the rough timing and outcome, without personal account details.
