GCash Can Still Send Money. Why Did GLoan, GCredit and GGives Suddenly Go Dark?

  • Approval / rejection
  • Complaint / dispute
  • Application / borrowing

The wallet still worked. The credit features did not. And after an identity-information update, one GCash user said seven days had come and gone without an explanation they could act on. In an October 10, 2026 post on r/GCashPH, the user described an abrupt suspension affecting GLoan and GCredit. In a follow-up reply, they also named GGives as unavailable. They said GCash support pointed to personal information that needed updating, so they updated it. They were reportedly told to allow seven days, but the restriction remained after that window. Here is the jarring part: the same person said they could still send and receive money. The wallet was usable while three credit-related functions were not. They also said no suspension notice had reached them and that, as far as they knew, their repayments were not late. A claimed GScore of 700 appears in the thread. Those are user-reported details, not access to GCash account records or a promise that any lender must approve credit. This isn't the usual 'I paid off my loan, why is my limit gone?' story. The trigger the poster was told about involved identity information, and the reported restriction crossed more than one credit feature while routine wallet transfers continued. That invites a sharper, more useful question: Which verification step is still open, which provider owns each restriction, and what exactly is the customer being asked to fix? Another commenter said their own support representative attributed a GCredit/GLoan block to CIMB. That is a different customer's account; it does not establish the cause of the original poster's suspension. Speculation elsewhere in the thread about lenders leaving the market is not evidence of an operational cause. A suspended credit feature can affect access to new borrowing without cancelling money already owed. The poster expressed frustration about continuing repayments; that frustration is understandable, but unpaid loan obligations and feature eligibility remain separate. Verify outstanding balances and due dates through official account channels rather than assuming a suspension changes the debt. Seven days is an expectation, not a diagnosis. If a service can mark access as suspended, it should give the customer an intelligible next checkpoint. Keep the update confirmation and support ticket, ask which GLoan/GCredit/GGives account is affected and why, and request a written status and escalation path. The thread does not establish that access was restored. Has anyone received a precise explanation of a multi-feature GCash suspension after refreshing their identity details?
