Leaving SLoan unused, removing the feature and deleting a Shopee account are not the same action

  • Application / borrowing
  • Repayment
  • Complaint / dispute

Some public questions ask how to permanently disable SLoan after activation, often because a household wants to prevent future borrowing. The captured discussions did not provide a verified, product-specific SLoan closure result. They should not be rewritten as successful closure stories. Current official guidance says an activated SLoan feature cannot be removed from the app, although a user may choose not to use it. It also says simply having the feature does not create charges; fees attach after a successful disbursement. Separately, official ShopeePay guidance describes wallet deletion through deletion of the wider Shopee account, subject to balance and pending-transaction conditions. That is a different action and is not evidence of formal SLoan-product closure. The safe distinction is: stop using the feature, settle and verify any existing obligation, ask support what closure controls actually exist, and treat whole-account deletion as a separate irreversible process. A frozen credit feature is also not proof of closure. Intentionally becoming overdue to force a suspension is unsafe and excluded. A useful firsthand follow-up would report only what support confirmed and what the app showed afterward, with no account identifiers or instructions for evading repayment.
