Extension payments and account closure need two separate checkpoints

  • Repayment
  • Interest / fees
  • Complaint / dispute

Public MocaMoca accounts describe extension payments and final closure as different checkpoints. One borrower said an extension fee was paid three times before realizing those payments did not reduce the loan balance shown. The borrower then requested a different calculation, but the public thread did not show a final payment, updated balance or closure. A separate borrower reported two earlier extension payments, disputed a remaining service fee, then received a much smaller final service-fee amount and described the account as closed after payment. Another commenter in a different account said a lower final option was accepted and the account was closed. Neither public account supplied a complete ledger or independently verified zero-balance document. The useful comparison is not “negotiation works.” It is that extension paid, amount recalculated, final payment posted, zero balance and account closed are separate states—and different borrowers reported different endpoints. Record only the last state actually shown. Light public provenance: Reddit. Separate public accounts compared; payment and closure statements were not independently verified.
