A borrower reported Qwarta interest after paying, then said they closed the account

A borrower opened Home Credit Qwarta expecting that a charge paid within a month would carry no interest. That was how, they said, a representative had explained it. They paid the amount due and stopped using Qwarta, yet another interest charge of about PHP20 appeared without a new purchase. Their first Home Credit customer service chat did not clear things up. In a reply to the same thread, the borrower said they eventually closed Qwarta through the website chat. According to the borrower, the agent attributed the interest to payment after the statement closing date. The borrower believed they had paid before the September due date, which left the two dates at the center of their confusion. In later replies, the borrower said customer service treated the interest as a valid charge. They said they paid it and had Qwarta closed. The thread does not include a statement showing how the interest was calculated or whether any charge was refunded.
