One overdue account reached a reference; another did not

Two borrowers in the same public discussion reported different contact outcomes. One described becoming overdue after repeated borrowing and receiving regular reminders, but said family and friends were not contacted. A separate borrower, who later reported paying the account, said a brother had been called during the overdue period. Neither report establishes how often reference contact happens, and the accounts cannot be merged into one timeline. The difference is still useful: overdue status alone does not tell you who was actually contacted. Record the concrete event—borrower-only calls, a designated reference call, another contact, or no contact observed—rather than converting fear or a notice into a completed event. A publicly available JuanHand loan agreement says designated character references may be contacted after overdue payment. That wording does not authenticate any particular call or decide whether an individual contact complied with applicable rules. It also does not turn the company FAQ’s separate statement about in-person visits into a promise about phone calls. Avoid sharing names, numbers, workplaces or screenshots when reporting what occurred. Public light provenance: Reddit · Official JuanHand terms. Differing self-reported outcomes, not a frequency estimate or legal finding.
