An SMS offer, app eligibility, activation and checkout access are different states

  • Application / borrowing
  • Approval / rejection
  • Disbursement / payout

Public reports show that receiving a GGives message does not always mean the app currently shows the account as eligible or usable at checkout. Some users reported an offer or activation message followed by a not-eligible screen, an error, or no GGives option at checkout; other users later reported normal access. The reliable sequence is message received → app eligibility visible → activation complete → current offer displayed → GGives available for that merchant/checkout → transaction completes.
