The PHP 250,000 personal loan was finally closed, while credit-card debt still remained
One borrower first returned with an update about two years after an earlier debt post. During the earlier period, calls from collection agencies and online lending apps had caused intense stress. In that first update, the borrower said every online lending-app debt had been cleared and that there had been no return to those loans. A bank personal loan originally worth PHP 250,000 was still open, but the borrower reported that the balance had fallen to PHP 60,000 with three months remaining. The same borrower later posted another public update. In that later account, the borrower said the final amortization had been completed the previous day and described the PHP 250,000 personal loan as closed. That was not a debt-free endpoint. The borrower also said roughly PHP 70,000 to PHP 80,000 in credit-card debt still remained, although a later raise was expected to make that balance more manageable. The later post's comments discuss restructuring, an amnesty offer, a monthly payment, the bank's identity and missed payments. Those comment details are not needed to establish the public endpoint and are excluded from this correction. Both posts come from the same borrower and form one continuing source unit. The later post is an update, not independent corroboration. The public sources do not include a complete account ledger, formal closure document or later result for the remaining card debt. Where the story stood The borrower reported clearing all OLA debts and later closing the PHP 250,000 personal loan after making the final amortization. Roughly PHP 70,000 to PHP 80,000 in credit-card debt still remained, so BorrowTalk does not describe the borrower as debt-free.
