Community discussion · Composite borrower case
Paying the balance and closing the app account are separate steps
A borrower in a public discussion described missing JuanHand payments from January 2026, paying smaller amounts in March, then finishing the remaining balance in April. Although the account had been referred to a collection partner, the borrower said the actual payments were still made through the app. After the reported payoff, the app still displayed an available limit. The borrower separately requested account cancellation and said they had been told processing would take 30 days. There was no later evidence confirming that cancellation finished, so the displayed limit should not be read as a new loan, a reopened debt, or proof that the account remained permanently active. JuanHand’s public user agreement also treats settled liabilities and account deregistration as separate conditions. It says deregistration ends the platform relationship and permits some data to remain where law requires. The practical distinction is simple: “paid,” “credit still displayed,” and “account deregistered” are different states. Verify each one instead of using a single screen as proof of all three. Public light provenance: Reddit · Official JuanHand terms. Public self-report and operator terms, not an independently verified cancellation.
