About PHP 90,000 was overdue, but the law firm asked for PHP 180,000 before restructuring
One borrower reported that a UnionBank personal loan had about PHP 90,000 overdue after roughly four months. The account had already reached a law firm, which the borrower said asked for PHP 180,000 as a minimum amount before the account could be updated. According to the post, the same minimum was raised even when the borrower considered either a discounted settlement or a restructuring program. A same-author reply restated the comparison: about PHP 90,000 overdue after four months, but PHP 180,000 requested to update the account. These are the borrower's figures and description of the collection process. BorrowTalk has not reviewed a statement of account, formal offer, loan ledger or communication from the law firm or bank. The public source therefore does not establish how either amount was calculated or whether every option actually required the same payment. The borrower said the regular monthly amortizations, and even the amount due, could be affordable, but expected receivables had not yet arrived. The public record does not show whether those funds arrived, whether a payment was made, whether restructuring proceeded or whether the account was later closed. Where the story stood At the latest same-author checkpoint, the borrower was still trying to understand and fund a PHP 180,000 minimum request against about PHP 90,000 reported overdue. The mismatch was unresolved in the public source.
