Five debts were paid after two years, but one card still appeared active in the app
One borrower said five card or loan obligations were paid between March and May 2026 after roughly two years of delinquency. The borrower had previously ignored calls and emails while money was unavailable, then began facing the accounts after finding a better-paying job. The source listed an EastWest credit card paid for about ₱100,000, a BPI personal loan paid for about ₱140,000, a BPI credit card paid for about ₱200,000, a UnionBank credit card paid for about ₱75,000 and a Citibank credit card paid for about ₱45,000. The five stated payments total about ₱560,000. The borrower described the earlier balances as roughly ₱1 million or more when penalties and interest were included. Some replies in the same thread use principal, balance and offer figures inconsistently, so the public account does not establish an audited principal or settlement calculation for each obligation. Collection activity was part of the two-year period. According to the borrower, collectors visited both the home and office and called the borrower's manager. The borrower said the visitors were polite and did not verbally shame anyone, although their collection-agency clothing may have made the purpose of the visit visible to neighbours. Payment was not the only endpoint still being checked. When the post was published, the borrower said only two certificates of full payment had arrived and expected the remaining documents later. The source does not confirm that every certificate was ultimately delivered. One card also showed an unexpected state. The borrower said the delinquent UnionBank card still displayed available credit in the app after settlement. A representative reportedly said activation was possible, but the borrower did not test the card and planned to wait while paying expenses in cash. The display and phone statement do not prove that the account was fully reusable. Where the story stood All five listed obligations had reached a borrower-reported paid state, and the borrower described being ready to answer collection calls with that update. Certificate delivery was still incomplete, and the actual status of the card that appeared active remained unverified.
