Paid, settled, closed and offered another loan are four different states
Several MocaMoca borrowers use “paid” or “settled” to describe different outcomes. One commenter reported fully paying several loans and called the account closed. Another said an overdue balance was fully paid after ending a tapal cycle, but gave no later account-access result. Two other accounts describe principal-based outcomes. One borrower said an amount equal to the original principal had been paid after four of six scheduled payments and that calls had stopped by day 30. The thread did not show a written settlement or zero balance. A separate retrospective account said MocaMoca accepted principal-only payment as part of resolving a larger group of online-loan debts. That outcome was also a self-report without a MocaMoca closure document in the public post. Future contact did not mean the same thing either. Two people who described themselves as fully paid said they continued receiving calls about new offers—one about a month after payment, another into the following year. Those calls were characterized as marketing, not overdue collection, and neither person reported taking and receiving another loan. For a useful follow-up, keep the milestones separate: payment sent, payment posted, remaining balance, written settlement, account marked closed, calls stopped, offer shown, new application approved, and cash received. The official listing’s statement that payment history may help future limits does not guarantee any of them. What was the last state you could actually verify? Share the date and wording category, but not receipts, IDs or contact details. Sources: Reddit · Official app guidance.
