A months-long overdue report is a timeline, not a universal collection forecast
One Cashalo borrower publicly updated the same overdue account across several months. At roughly 30 days overdue, the borrower reported calls, texts or emails and a message about possible transfer to collections. Later updates said the balance had changed, the account remained unpaid, and contact intensity changed over time; by July the borrower still had not reported a payoff or final resolution. This chain is useful because it records actual checkpoints rather than turning a question into an outcome. It still cannot predict whether another borrower will receive a visit, demand letter, reference contact, settlement offer, or legal action. The amounts, messages, and collection status are the borrower's self-report, not independently verified. Current rate-cap rules also should not be retroactively applied to an older loan without first checking the loan date, amount, tenor, and disclosure. Sources: Reddit · Official guidance.
