Paid a GLoan/GGives Settlement—Why Is There Still a Balance?
“Promotional full settlement” sounds like the end of an overdue loan. In an October 15 Reddit post, a borrower said they accepted an offer after about six months of missed GLoan and GGives payments. They said they paid. Four business days later, both products still showed balances. The money appeared to reduce the dues without closing the accounts.
The borrower said they received a text message and a phone call offering a discounted settlement. That makes the exact wording important: did the quoted amount clear both loans, or only one account? GCash's ordinary payment guidance says Pay Bills and partner-channel payments can take up to three business days to show. But normal payment posting rules cannot tell us whether this particular discounted settlement was approved or fully applied.
No receipt appeared in the public thread, and a reported payment alone cannot establish what the lender agreed to write off. The borrower needs the written offer, the payment record and an updated status for each loan from official GCash/Fuse support. Was this truly full and final settlement for both GLoan and GGives, or did the money go through as a partial payment? No resolution appeared in the public thread.
