A GGives reversal can clear the installment while an earlier payment remains only partly refunded

  • Complaint / dispute
  • Repayment
  • Interest / fees

A merchant cancellation, a GGives reversal, restored available credit and money already paid back are separate outcomes. In one public account, a GGives-funded merchant payment did not reach the merchant. After about a month and escalation through the merchant, the borrower said the installment disappeared and the available GGives amount returned. At that checkpoint, however, only half of the first installment already paid had been refunded. The loan record and credit capacity had changed, but the cash reconciliation was not yet complete. A separate borrower described a prior duplicate-transaction case that was adjusted after a support ticket went unanswered for about three days, evidence was escalated to BSP, and GCash responded one to two days later. The current duplicate-charge poster in that discussion had not yet received a resolution, so the two accounts must not be merged. Current GCash guidance says an eligible full cancellation starts with merchant approval and merchant coordination with GCash. It also says a late or partial refund may be applied as an advance payment, with any excess sent to the wallet. Record merchant cancellation, refund amount, GGives loan removal, installment balance, available credit and wallet refund separately.
