Partial payments, collector transfer, settlement, then account deactivation
One public Tala account supplies a longer resolution chain than a balance snapshot. The author reported falling behind in August 2025 and making small payments of roughly ₱500 to ₱1,000. In April 2026, the debt reportedly disappeared from the app; the author said Tala support explained that it had been transferred to collection. The same author described receiving a time-limited offer on May 28 that reduced a balance of about ₱15,000 to about ₱8,000. The author then reported paying and voluntarily deactivating the account, with an email received afterward. This is an unverified self-report: it does not authenticate the collector, reproduce an agreement, or prove a standard discount available to others. A separate borrower reported about four months overdue, partial payments, calls/messages, no home visit, and eventual full payoff without reporting a discount or account deactivation. Tala's Help Center says collection arrangements may be personalized and payments should follow official in-app instructions. Neither account supports waiting for an offer or assuming that small payments produce one. If your overdue account reached a later endpoint, was it an offer, payment, cleared balance, or completed closure? Share only the sequence, not documents or identifiers. Editorial composite led by one sourced same-author public timeline, with a separate counterexample and official Tala guidance; none is a verified account ledger.
