After a Year Overdue, a GLoan Borrower Reports a ₱15,000 Settlement and App Closure

  • Repayment
  • Overdue

A borrower who said their GLoan had been overdue since July 2025 reported finally seeing the loan closed in the app in October 2026. The post described more than a year of uncertainty before a discounted settlement became possible. This is one borrower’s account, not a published timetable for other GLoan borrowers. According to the October 17 post, a collector identified as Constantino had first proposed reducing an approximately ₱28,000 balance to ₱16,000. Roughly a month later, the borrower said Fuse offered a settlement of about ₱15,000 and waived the penalties. The borrower accepted. Three days afterward, they reported that the app displayed the account as closed. The author also said they had not experienced a home visit, reference calls or harassment during this particular overdue period. Those observations describe their own experience only; they cannot establish how collection practices work for everyone. Neither the signed settlement terms nor an independently issued certificate of full payment was included in the public post. This case separates four checkpoints that borrowers often combine: the outstanding balance, an offered reduction, payment under an accepted arrangement, and the app’s later closure status. The reported app closure is a meaningful personal outcome, while lender-side account and credit-report status remain unverified. Waiting for a discount is not a guaranteed or risk-free repayment strategy.
